Visitation Policy and proceeding with purchase
We sometimes get asked why we don't allow visits to our pups until pick day at 8-9 weeks old. This is not surprising given the number of "what to do when buying a dog" websites that advocate for visiting the breeder and meeting the pup's parents first. The problem with these sites is their priority is the buyer, not the pups' or breeders' health and safety.
Safety of the Pups:
Pups immune systems are very immature. Many unsuspecting visitors have brought disease (parvovirus, distemper, etc) with them when visiting pups, the result of which is the death of the entire litter. We were lucky enough to have faired well so far. I however personally know of several breeders that have lost entire litters to parvovirus brought in by visitors.
What we require:
*We ask that you bring no pets with you-not even those that might remain in your car.
**You will also be asked where you are coming from and if you visited ANY other dog facilities before stepping on our property.
***We will bring the puppy to your car and you are asked to remain in the car while we do so. Many disease can be carried on your shoes and tracked into our property.
****The only clients that are allowed to come to our property is only for the purpose of picking up their puppy on pick up day.
*****We do not accommodate any visitation before pick up day even to puppies that are mature and ready to go home if: 1) We have other litters that have not gone home yet, 2) if we have other younger litters present,
3) if we have pregnant bitches or if we are expecting a new litter arrival at that time.
The only exception is if we have a mature puppy that is 5 months old or older ready to go home and even then clients will be asked to stay by their car only and can be visited outdoors if climate allows for such. Same safety precaution applies.
You can view some of our past puppies on our Facebook page and here, and moreover, we will go out of our way and offer you a LIVE VIDEO CONFERENCE in order to see your puppy live and converse with me as much as you need.
Visit me on my facebook page and read reviews of clients that bought from us.
You may also ask to join my Facebook Doodle group where you can see newly posted puppy/dog photos of existing clients.
